Desert Festival (January – February)

Gangaur Festival (Tuesday – April)
Hindu festival dedicated to Goddess Parvati, it is time for the girls to dress up in their colorful outfits and pray to the goddess for the groom of their choice while the married woman prays for the welfare of her husband. The Gangaur festival is celebrated all over Rajasthan and is a must for tourists visiting Rajasthan. This Spring festival is celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The unique thing about this festival is that the tribal men and women have the freedom to interact and think about their partner on this occasion.
Elephant Festival (Tuesday – April)
The elephant festival is held annually in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Interesting events are organized which make the elephant festival vibrant and colorful. Events such as the elephant race, elephant polo and the tug of war between men and elephants are highly acclaimed. The venue for this famous festival is the old Jaipur Stadium and is promoted by Rajasthan Tourism.
