Diabetes disease and me. Sounds like a bad movie. Perhaps part of my journey of having diabetes has been a rough patch. Let me tell you why I say that. You may have experienced a somewhat similar situation.
When I went to see my doctor in Oakland, New Jersey about two and a half years ago (November 2004) for my annual physical, he told me that my blood sugar was a little high and that I should do something about it. regard. I ignored his advice. I thought this blood sugar level could be addressed by exercising and taking more vitamins. Without any game plan, I stayed the course. Which means I did what I always did. That was eating what I want, when I want and how much I want.
Over time, my blood sugar rose naturally because I was living in denial about my illness. It wasn’t until my blood sugar hit 325 that I decided to embrace this disease and face it head-on. This article is about what has worked for me.
Number one tip about diabetes disease
My favorite strategy for treating the disease of diabetes is to separate the good fats from the bad in the foods I eat. Bad fats like trans and saturated make up a very small amount of my diet. Good fats like polyunsaturated and unsaturated fats comprise a much larger segment of my diet. This remedy has been a blessing for me. The neuropathy in my feet has decreased and I feel like I have more energy. Simply put, eating more low-fat raw foods will help control diabetes.
Diabetes disease tip number two
As a supplement to modify my diet, I have taken the herbs Fenugreek, Gymnema Sylvestre, and Stable Sugar to lower my blood sugar levels. These three products helped me achieve what I wanted. I suggest taking these along with other remedies. My advice is that these herbs will help but not completely cure your diabetes disease. They may work together to alter your diet.
Diabetes disease tip number three
Exercise. Exercise. Exercise. This is part of my treatment program. I’m sure you’ve heard of the benefits of exercising. I have noticed for myself that when I do some strenuous workouts, my blood sugar responds much more favorably than when I do a light workout. Training your body is strong advice that can only benefit you.
Tip number four on diabetes disease
Learning to relax has helped me relieve stress in my life. Stress can only make diabetes worse. Stress seems to make a lot of things worse. I have gained some wisdom in this area. When a car cuts me off or when I miss an elevator to take me to a 25-story apartment, I tell myself something like “I’m better for that.” I’m still learning how to approach this further. I have meditated, which calms me down. Slowing down my body and mind has helped me. My advice is to take some time out of each day to relax and be with yourself. You are good to be with you. Learn to take it easy.
So in a nutshell my 4 tips are:
Eat foods that support your cause. Stay away from fats that hinder blood flow and foods that are high in sugar.
Exercise, keep your body moving.
Use herbs and supplements to help you on your quest.
Relax. Find the time to take it easy.
