“If you have a sacred space and you take advantage of it and use it every day, something will happen… Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.“–jjoseph campbell
Your current situation is a gift, a teacher. I remember hearing years ago that “every place has its problems, just find a set of problems you can deal with.” It’s time to release those problems and move on to a life of fun, abundance and luxury. How?
Understanding the power YOU have to create sacred space for yourself is the key to beginning to move out of your fear and into your truth. Your sacred space can be a physical space, a retreat, or it can be a space within you. It is a safe harbor you visit to get in touch with your personal power. What are you doing in that sacred space? You dream, you feel, you experience: you become the person you dream of. Being happy begins with feeling happy, however brief the moment.
The first step in my “Happyness” program (this is my newly coined word) is to recognize what you don’t want. Sometimes it’s easier to know what you don’t want than it is to identify what you do want. So take a good look and identify what you don’t like or want in your life right now. If you focus on the lack, you attract more of the same. When you are happy you cannot feel inferior or insecure, sad or angry. Happiness, joy, appreciation and gratitude consist of high vibrations; therefore, you CANNOT attract the opposite. By attaching positive emotions and feelings to your dreams and expectations, you attract wonderful, and even unexpected, events and people into your life!
The next step in my “Happyness” program is to take what you don’t want and modify it to make it what you DO want in your life. Take the time to really dream and THINK about what you want, who you are with and what you are doing. Formulate a dream. Many of us no longer dream. We believe that dreaming is a waste of time, when, in fact, it is a great use of your time and energy. Dreaming initiates the process of receiving. Dream big, or dream small. Small dreams cascade into bigger dreams. The key is to feel and believe in your desires.
A word of caution here: be careful when sharing your dreams with others. It only takes one look or one comment to knock your dreams down and make you think “missing” again. Save them and only share with those who will nurture and empower you in the process.
Now is the time to go into that sacred space and take with you the dreams you have formulated. “Feeling” is the magnetic source for true manifestation. Many of us have vision boards, vision journals, and affirmations written all over the place. My refrigerator shows my vision board. I see it, organize it and FEEL it throughout the day. Notice I said FEEL IT, that’s the missing link to creative visualization. It’s one thing to look at the photos, but it’s quite another to close your eyes and let your body feel the moment you walk into the new house, get offered that big contract, or spend that romantic weekend with someone you love. ..it’s the feeling behind receiving a big check, the FEELING behind DEPOSITING that big check into your healthy bank account…get the idea?
The “feel” can be described as the “surround sound” of vision boards. Yes, it is about dreaming and involving your body and your energy centers. How does the center of your heart feel when you think of someone you love? Does it open and flap? When you really feel that something is in your reality, your heart can beat faster; you can feel a little excitement, anxiety, joy and well-being. How wonderful does the center of your stomach feel when you get the job you’ve always wanted? It’s not just about seeing the situation, it’s about embracing the FEELINGS behind the visualization.
The “feel” is the key to creation. Take some time right away to create your sacred space and start working on those dreams! Call on those dreams EVERY time you feel lack, fear, or worry. Those dreams will raise your vibrations and bring you opportunities instead of problems.
