KitchenAid Superba appliances are manufactured by the world’s largest appliance manufacturer, Whirlpool Corporation. The KitchenAid company began in 1915 when a small kitchen mixer was needed. Industrial size mixers were the only ones available and there was an unmet need for a smaller consumer stand mixer. KitchenAid was named after the wife of an executive who was testing the mixer and said it was “the best kitchen aid ever” and the name stuck.
In 1986 Whirlpool Corporation bought the KitchenAid company. The mixer is one of the few household appliances that has a patent for its unique shape.
The Superba name was given to KitchenAid dishwashers, ovens and refrigerators. Below is a brief summary of each of these products.
