But not be miserable either.
Have you ever had a day where you were in a bad mood? Nothing pleases. You are grumpy. you stay alone Coffee doesn’t help. It’s just a lousy day. And… you don’t even know why.
The bad thing about being in a bad mood is that it ruins your ability to do anything right. Your ability and your enthusiasm decrease because of your mood. And it usually happens when you had a lot planned for the day!
It is as if the Universe is conspiring against you.
However… you can magically get in the mood and do it in just a few minutes.
This is one way to improve your mood…help someone else!
Now it won’t matter what you do to help someone… just help them. Give someone a smile or open a door for someone. Pay for a breakfast for someone at McDonalds. Donate $3 to your favorite cause or political party. Just start by doing whatever little thing you can and your mood will shift to a more positive, less moody one.
That’s it… it’s easy to do. It costs very little and suddenly you are in a much better mood.
A second way to get out of a bad mood is to start being grateful for everything around you!
“Exchange your expectations for appreciation and the world will change instantly.” -Tony Robbins
Start telling yourself things like, ‘I’m thankful to be alive.’ Or, ‘I’m glad I had a good breakfast this morning.’ This is one of my favorites: ‘Thank you for this parking spot right in front of the door.’ How about, ‘I’m so glad my team won yesterday.’
The magic is that any little thing you’re grateful for eases the grumpy feelings, and before long, you’ll find that it’s nearly impossible to hold onto the negative thoughts. Suddenly you are no longer in a bad mood and your whole day is better.
People stop avoiding you. Your energy level goes back up, your perspective improves and all your creativity returns!
Of course, at the start of a bad mood, you may need to force yourself to be grateful for things, but; As he continues to put gratitude into his day, his mood lightens and everything returns to normal.
Helping others and being grateful takes the focus off of ourselves and onto others. By thinking of others, the Universe removes your bad mood and puts good moods in your path. Curious how that works…
