A very beautiful cat is your pet and you are lucky to have such a cute pet. You feel happy seeing the huge fur on its pink epidermis. If your pet begins to meow in a hoarse, raspy voice, it is quite natural for him to be concerned. Yes, be prepared to accept that your cat is not well. You may not have taken care of yourself before. You may have allowed your cat to befriend other outdoor cats. Your cat may have always been sick or may have reached old age. You may not be sure. But make sure that your cat may have some disease that is hoarse. Let’s find out what steps to take when your cat is hoarse.
(a) Do you find your cat coughing or sneezing or do you find discharge from his nose or ears and sometimes having trouble breathing? In most cases, the cat’s trachea, throat, or nose (and not its lungs in general) are affected. The cat may also have a fever. All of these point to diseases of the upper respiratory tract. If your cat is already sick, preventive measures (vaccination against feline herpes and calcivirus) will not work. Currently, the vet can charge for antibiotics. If the condition is severe, your vet may advise that you hospitalize the cat or take steps to improve the cat’s immunity.
(b) In case your cat catches a cold, the symptoms will be almost the same as above. Antibiotics can be loaded to avoid any secondary infection. Let the cat drink enough water and give it enough food. Organize your warmth. Since this disease is contagious, you must be careful to keep it separate from other pets in your family.
(c) If your cat’s appetite has been significantly increased or greatly reduced or if you have noticed symptoms in your cat such as increased thirst and sufficient urination or increased blood pressure or heart problems or weight loss. or any disturbance of indigestion, take him immediately to the vet. Your cat’s thyroid hormone level should be tested. This is hyperthyroidism. It has been suggested that aging is the reason. Treatment of hyperthyroidism differs from patient to patient. To fight the growth of thyroid hormones, tapzole is the standard drug. For some cats, surgical removal of one of their two functioning thyroid glands may be necessary. Sometimes radiation therapy with iodine is the treatment.
(d) You have gotten used to seeing your cat’s regular shocks. But sometimes they are very serious. A vet will be able to detect the nature of the discharge from the ears or eyes or from the nose and will tell you if they indicate an infection or just a scratch. Antibiotics may be charged. Nasal discharge may be due to an infection in the tooth. But the situation will be different if there is a tumor inside the nose, and in such a case, the vet may recommend radiation therapy. You should take your cat to a vet for any vaginal discharge because if it is feline pyometra it can lead to anything unless special care is taken at the right time.
(e) A tumor does not mean cancer, but there are possibilities. The vet will advise you accordingly. Radiation therapy may be recommended.
(f) You must first confirm if your cat has rabies. Make sure your cat’s rabies infection is recent or old. If recent, a rabies booster will be recommended. Otherwise, you will have to spend a lot to quarantine the cat for at least six months. If your cat doesn’t die by then, he will die to tell you that he doesn’t have rabies. If your cat really does have rabies, you can let him continue sleeping as he likes best.
One more word
Your cat is a lazy creature and always loves to have comforts. If you meow in a husky, husky voice, you’ve definitely worked your vocal cords. Try to know if it is the hot period for your cat. In such a situation, only his unnatural voice is heard. If so, leave it to the loving pet. In a few days your voice will be as normal as before.
