Every time we set a goal to achieve something new, it arrives. Fear arises and challenges us: would you go after what you want? Or maybe you give up?
It is important to understand that fear will always arise when we start a new adventure, that is the natural part of the process.
Imagine this: one day you arrive at the soccer field, you run and nobody looks at you, nobody is in the public to cheer you on. You run with the ball, approaching the door, nobody protects you.
You take the ball and kick it towards the door…
Now, how satisfied are you? How excited are you? Not really… but why?
This time you are on the same field, you run with the ball. Suddenly five giant and massive players are coming straight at you. They’re totally ready to break every bone in your body, just to make sure you don’t make it to the door.
Along the way you reach the public cheering like crazy, scream as loud as possible.
You run with the ball, making big moves so that no one stops you in your path, you keep running like crazy, approach the door and see an incredibly skilled guard testing your every move.
You take the ball, you kick it towards the door and…
This is a goal!
You did it!
This time you celebrate with such emotion, full of pride, incredible satisfaction…
What happened?
What happened is that you can’t be brave without being afraid.
If we want to be brave, we have to develop the ability to deal with our fears.
It’s easy, but not smart, to be brave when we’re not afraid or excited about something. Wisdom is being brave when we are so scared by our dream.
Fear comes out when all the things that come to threaten us and block us anyway from getting to the target.
This is such an important process and all women entrepreneurs have to go through while building their businesses.
This process is about “earning” the goal you set for yourself, a magical process that at the end you will be able to look at yourself in the mirror, smile and say with so much pride “I did it”. I dealt with so many challenges that could make me stop and give up. I thing of believing, I thing of developing abilities and skills.
I am responsible for the fact that I now look in the mirror and can say: “This is the person I wanted to become while pursuing the goal I set for myself.
